A proposed addition to the East Hampton Village Code says that village personnel “shall not use village resources, equipment, property, databases, or funds to investigate, detain, question, arrest, or transport any individual solely for purposes of federal civil immigration enforcement, except pursuant to a judicial warrant or as otherwise required by law.”

The Y.M.C.A. East Hampton Hurricanes left the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow Sunday night as the 2026 New York State champions, breaking record after record to swim their way into the top spot among 1,109 athletes from 28 teams, including Huntington, the defending state champs.
